SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Design Quality Assurance (DQA) Engineer is an essential part of the Engineering team and ensures that Beyond Air products meet high standards for patients and customers. The ideal DQA Engineer monitors all stages of product development to identify system malfunctions. The DQA Engineer prepares, maintains, and executes test activities using test management, anomaly tracking, requirement management, and test automation tools. Using an array of testing methods and tools, involving black-, grey-, and white-box testing, simulators, manual or automatic testing, and other engineering techniques, the DQA engineer contributes to the release of Beyond Air’s products.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure the Beyond Air products meet all requirements
- Identify and track system defects / anomalies
- Oversee and coordinate overall system verification activities
ACTIVITIES
- Reviews and analyzes user and product requirements.
- Reviews and analyzes system implementation details.
- Creates, maintains, and executes test protocols and plans.
- Ensures test coverage by maintaining traceability between requirements and tests.
- Estimates, prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities.
- Identifies, reports, and follows-up on discovered defects.
- Reviews requirements, specifications, and design documents and provides timely and meaningful feedback.
- Acts as a resource for other Engineering personnel to assist in creating and executing product tests.
- Proactively investigates, identifies, and implements best-in-class Design Quality Engineering practices.
Qualifications / Requirements / Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a software, biomedical, electrical or mechanical engineering discipline
- 10 year’s experience preferred
- Hardware V&V
- Automated test development
- LabVIEW development
- Validation test development
- Experience in formative validation
- Experience in summative validation
